Civic Literacy
Returning in 2011 will be Jazzin´ on Jefferson´s popular Civic Literacy Tent. This tent will allow political
candidates, office holders and other political organizations to communicate with the 40,000+ patrons that are
expected to attend the festival about your political goals and civic activism.
Political Candidates, Office Holders, and Organizations- You are eligible to reserve up to two tables at the
festival for a cost of $100 per table. Since space is limited, submitting an application does not assure you a
space. Please be aware that due to city vendor licensing requirements, organizations in this category may not sell
any products or services on site.
With each $200 reservation, JEBA will provide two chairs and one table inside a shared tent with security. As we
confirm participation, we will send out further information pertaining to parking, marketing and table location.
Table location will be assigned randomly within the Civic Literacy Tent. All signage must be contained either on
or attached to purchased tables. No audio or visual equipment is permitted.
Please Note: As a Michigan 501-©3 non-profit organization, JEBA does not engage any partisan
political activity or lobbying. In providing this opportunity for civic education and outreach, JEBA is not endorsing
any candidates, office holders, political party or other entity engaged in the political process.
